Do I have the Right to Request a Review: Delayed Investigation

A complainant or registrant may apply for a review if a college has notified you under s.50.55 of the Health Professions Act of your right to do so.

Time Limit to Apply

You have 30 days from the date you receive the college’s notice to apply for review under s.50.57(1) of the Health Professions Act. The Review Board cannot accept applications after 30 days.

How do I apply?

  1. Complete Form 2
  2. Attach a copy of the Notice of Delay that the college sent you
  3. Send it to the Review Board within 30 days of receiving the notice
  4. Copy the college and the other parties

What will the Review Board do?

The Review Board will review the delayed investigation and make an order sending the matter back to the inquiry committee, with directions the Review Board considers appropriate, to continue and complete the investigation and dispose of the matter within the period of time directed by the Review Board.
